Gartner Analysts identify CDR as particularly useful

In the latest edition of Gartner's Hype Cycle report on network security, content cleaning technology ranks high on the priority matrix for network security. It protects against malicious files without requiring lengthy dynamic analysis or traditional inspection (such as signatures) for identifying malware. Gartner analysts identify CDR technology as particularly useful "where files cross organizational boundaries exceed."

Advantages of CDR

  • CDR minimizes the risk of malicious content entering the organization via attachments on the employee's device through numerous channels (i.e. email, web, Teams, Whatsapp, Zoom). It removes the most common attack techniques that are difficult to combat in other ways.
  • CDR is much faster than sandboxing and offers proper additional protection. In addition, sophisticated malware may detect the sandbox and modify its behavior to stay under the radar.
